First-year

If you will be first time new in college after graduating from an accredited high school, homeschool, or completing the General Educational Development (GED) or the High School Equivalency Test (HiSET) examination, you are considered a freshman applicant.

Transfer

If you have enrolled in another college or university following graduation from high school (with the exception of the summer immediately following your graduation), graduation from being homeschooled or completing the General Educational Development (GED) or the High School Equivalency Test (HiSET) examination, you are considered a transfer applicant.
